I just tested the file on another visual studio 2019, it formats properly on the other computer. Idk, at least the new js file will indent properly when I hit enter and recognize bracket pairs, the project I'm currently working on doesn't show anything. I tried to create a new js file and it also did not work. Update: I should mention, no Javascript file is formatable. I'll check again to see if visual studio code is able to format it, cause if I can't get it to format in vs code, then well, maybe something is wrong, but like I said, as of yesterday, the js file was formatable for both vs studio 2019 and vs code. The Javascript is working properly on their respective html pages so again, as far as I'm aware, there isn't anything wrong with the js file or file extension. I have a workspace for a bunch of html files, images, a script.js, and stylesheet.css.
